The Final RPG Saints Week!

Hello!

And hello new backers! Welcome aboard.

So here we are, into the final week! I’m hoping that the traditional “slow middle” will come to an end and we shall see some more excitement build as we head towards the finish line on Tuesday! I've lined up a few "media" things to help with that. Of course.

As we’re still in that quiet patch, I thought it might be mildly diverting to talk about how I met Wayne. Of course we all know Wayne through his amazing work on Pathfinder, Magic, Osprey books, 2000AD and so on.

I first met Wayne about a bajillion years ago when I was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar at our local games and comic shop. I was a wide-eyed aspiring artist, and was in absolute awe of Wayne, who popped in regularly for his comics and RPGs. It was a pretty wild time at the turn of the century in Leeds, in the UK. Shopping at that same store (Travelling Man) at the same time, were Kev Walker and Ralph Horsley. It was hugely inspiring for a wannabe games illustrator like myself. And I remember that I used to allow myself to ask these guys one question per visit so that I wasn’t being too much of a pest.

Which makes all this pretty amazing. Here we are, doing a project, 20 years later. What a privilege. Anyway enough of that! here’s some more RPG Saints.

Left to Right: St Moses, St Jerome, St Anselm

I think sometimes “80” doesn’t sound like all that many. 80 pence or 80 cents doesn’t sound like much money after all. But 80 drawings is a lot of drawings. There are loads of them, and they’re all great!

I can’t wait to hold the finished book in my hands, and thanks to all of you that will happen!

Thanks for your pledges.

Jon (and Wayne)
